Uxío, a young man from Galicia, starts working as a seasonal worker on a farm in northern Europe. About to publish his first novel, he wants to save money to move in with his girlfriend, but the rough conditions on the farm keep him trapped there. Little by little, his expectations and dreams, even his own identity, fade into the background, as he becomes just another part of the agricultural machinery, resilient and expendable.
