After his sister Clara is hospitalised in an eating disorder unit, Afonso moves from the countryside to the city to be near her—even though Clara feels isolated. Afonso and Clara have a codependent relationship, which has become more intense with the onset of her anorexia. In his new life, Afonso begins to look for his place in the world, away from his role as a caregiver, but isolation and loneliness soon take their toll. As Afonso fights his codependency on Clara, he experiences new sensations that make him consider the difficult idea of separating from his sister in order to be happy.
